Let’s start off by mentioning hormone therapy. It’s a regular thing; most of us have heard of it. We’ve all heard stories about someone who suffered through some medical nightmare for what seemed like forever only to figure out that all they needed was a bit of hormone therapy and everything would straighten itself out. It’s in use on a regular basis to treat a variety of different conditions, illnesses and, of course, hormonal deficiencies. It’s a very effective treatment and many prize it for its naturopathic qualities. The most common form of hormone administration is injection.
So we’ve got the basics on the HCG. But when we look at the basic definition we don’t really get the where, the how, or the why of the HCG shot. It’s definitely become a popular topic of conversation in the last few years. More and more people are able to offer firsthand experience on the topic. But even though many of us didn’t hear about it until recently the HCG shot isn’t a new fangled product or really even a new release.
The HCG shot is an injection of Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (HCG). This is a hormone that is naturally generated by the human body. One of the main jobs of HCG is to interact with the hypothalamus. This is exciting for those interested in weight loss because the hypothalamus interacts with the eating/drinking portion of the brain.
Dr. Simeons, an endocrinologist, recognized the possibilities created by this hormone. He introduced HCG as a weight loss tool over 50 years ago. His entire program was based around the use of the HCG shot in combination with a strict diet to obtain drastic weight loss. And it offers results. Many began to call it the cure for obesity.
So there’s really no arguing that it’s been around a while. The HCG shot has been actively used for weight loss results for over 50 years since Dr. Simeons introduced his theories. During the interim it has seen continual use; offering many the drastic weight loss results that are craved by so many. Successful use of the HCG program typically results in 1 to 2 pounds of weight loss per day, but more than that it reconfigures the body’s method for handling, distributing and storing fat. So the HCG manages to offer two distinct advantages for individuals on the very low calorie diet. First it allows them to limit their calories without hunger pains. Second it enables their body to start absorbing empty fat cells rather than keeping them around.
So we’ve got a handle on the HCG portion of the Dr. Simeons’ protocol. It makes it easy to stick to a really low calorie diet. And it makes it easier to keep your weight off for the long term.
So it would seem that the HCG shot is pretty much the be all and end all of weight loss…yes? Actually many believe this and they couldn’t be more wrong. Well…they could be MORE wrong, but they are definitely wrong in this case. There are surgical options that offer similar weight loss averages. And that’s not all.
Some have heard of homeopathy and some haven’t. It’s referred to by many as the science of nature. It’s been in use for longer than any other form of health treatment. It is comprised of non-invasive treatments for a variety of medical conditions and illnesses. Many were more than excited to see that there was a homeopathic version of the HCG shot being released. The homeopathic HCG weight loss formula is used within the basic format of Dr. Simeons’ weight loss protocol as a replacement of the shots. And it is very effective. It actually offers the same weight loss averages. And it can be had at a much lower price and with far less stress. You don’t even have to visit your doctor’s office.
