Fragrance Du Bois Signs Agreement With Prince Albert II Of Monaco Foundation And Amber Lounge Limited

(PRWEB) May 27, 2014

This collaboration contributes to the preservation of forest ecosystems and both the Foundation and Du Bois are strongly committed to sustainability of the environment.

With the sale of each fragrance, Du Bois will work with its sustainable plantation partner, Asia Plantation Capital, to plant one Aquilaria tree – the source of the 100% pure, natural Oud in all Du Bois’ fragrances – and one teak tree, with the Plant Genetics Programme supported by the Thai Royal Family.

The signing ceremony took place in the Yacht Club of Monaco on 22 May 2014 by Du Bois’ Group Business Development Director Gary Crates, H.E. Mr Bernard Fautrier, the Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and Sonia Irvine, founder of the Amber Lounge. The ceremony was witnessed by H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

“We are very honoured to have Prince Albert II and his foundation endorse our product and we will continue to ensure that we maintain only the highest standards and all our products in terms of quality and sustainability,” said Crates.

Oud Amber Intense was created for Amber Lounge founder Sonia Irvine by Du Bois’ Master Perfumer, Sandra Dziad. Drawing inspiration from the Orient, Oud Amber Intense is redolent of a spicy, citrusy opening of bergamot, tangerine, black pepper and cinnamon. Flower, fruity woody notes of neroli, rose, blackcurrant and patchouli infuse the heart and held together with an amber accord. This mélange enfolds the senses at the end with musk and Du Bois’ signature 100% pure, natural Oud.

The fragrance comes in a limited edition collection of 100 Marcel Franck bottles. Marcel Franck is of the oldest Parisien artisan perfume bottle designers and their products are renowned for being handblown from the finest venetian glass. The first of this limited edition set was presented to Prince Albert II of Monaco and the second to Sonia Irvine. The collection will be available for purchase from Du Bois’ boutiques in Asia and their perfumery, La Bastide Du Bois, in Grasse.

5% of the proceeds from the sale of the fragrance go to the Prince Albert II Foundation and another 5% goes to the Brain and Spine Foundation. The Brain and Spine Foundation is the official charity for the Amber Lounge 2014, a decision made by Sonia Irvine in light of F1 driver Michael Schumacher’s accident last December.

This event marks a milestone for the young fragrance house and Fragrance Du Bois returns once again as the official fragrance sponsor for the Amber Lounge, Monaco this weekend at the Monaco Grand Prix, and will also be the official fragrance for the Amber Lounge at the Singapore Grand Prix 2014. Further developments in Singapore and Malaysia include the opening of the French company’s luxury concept boutiques in The Fullerton Hotel in Singapore and prestigous Starhill Gallery in Kuala Lumpur.
