Indian Ministry of Tourism is responsible for promoting tourism in the country. The ministry is making determined efforts to encourage various new forms of tourism such as cruise, medical and eco-tourism. The agency works with all other state and central agencies to ensure that tourism in India reaches the very heights it promises. New airports are being developed, old ones are renovated, new airlines are being launched, and airways and roadways are being urbanised to match world class standards.
