StrongView Summit 2014
This year’s industry keynote is being presented by Forrester Principal Analyst Fatemah Khatibloo, who is covering the consumer data ecosystem and the new technologies that empower both consumers and marketers alike. Attendees will also hear about industry trends from internal StrongView experts, including Rob Brosnan, SVP of Strategy; Katrina Conn, VP of Marketing Services; and Catherine Magoffin, Director of Strategic Services. Experts from StrongView clients Extra Space Storage, InterContinental Hotels Group, Motley Fool and Vente-Exclusive.com are also presenting best-practices in the context of successful campaigns powered by StrongView’s cross-channel marketing platform.
The StrongView Elevate Awards
Digital marketing is changing at a rapid pace due to new technologies that are shaping how consumers interact with brands and how marketers are able to understand and engage them. The StrongView Elevate Awards are designed to recognize brands that are successfully adapting to these changes by embracing excellence in one of three principle ways: email innovation, cross-channel engagement and contextual relevance. The following are the inaugural winners in each category:
Email Innovation – Ancestry.com
Ancestry.com demonstrated Email Innovation by optimizing one of its most effective drivers of website traffic: its email newsletter. By leveraging StrongView’s dynamic content capabilities to centralize production and StrongView’s Marketing Services team to optimize design for mobile devices, Ancestry.com increased engagement, brand consistency and efficiency.
Cross-Channel Engagement – CheapAir.com
CheapAir.com exemplified Cross-Channel Engagement in the promotion of its Cheap Holiday Flights index. Driven by email and enhanced through coordinated outreach via Twitter, Facebook and other digital channels, CheapAir.com was able to increase email open rates by 20% and boost fight bookings by 8% year-over-year.
Contextual Relevance – BookRenter
BookRenter.com worked to understand that “school start date” was the most important piece of Contextual Relevance for a distributed customer base that hails from more than 5,000 campuses across the U.S. By pulling in external data to determine the correct start date, matching that historical data with purchase behavior and testing send times, BookRenter was able to generate a 48% lift in revenue per email sent versus emails not personalized to start date.
“The StrongView Summit keeps getting bigger and better every year, and that’s thanks to an incredible roster of clients who are truly pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with digital marketing – and that’s why we’re excited to be introducing the Elevate Awards to honor their achievements,” said Bill Wagner, CEO of StrongView. “StrongView has been at the forefront of enabling global brands to embrace contextual marketing with our Present Tense Marketing framework, so it’s a real privilege to be hosting this event where we can interact with the marketers who are making it a reality and reaping the rewards.”
