Apart from medication, the best way to eliminate candidiasis, is through a controlled diet. Try to follow a yeast-free diet plan for at least a month, and if you find it to be effective, you can continue it for a longer duration. Here are some yeast-free diet recipes that you can use to maintain your yeast-free diet.

Roman Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 skinless chicken breast halves, with ribs

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley leaves

  • 2 skinless chicken thighs, with bones

  • 1 tsp fresh oregano leaves

  • ½ tsp salt, plus 1 tsp

  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves

  • ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper, plus 1 tsp

  • 2 large tomatoes, finely chopped

  • ¼ cup olive oil

  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped

  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced

  • 1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

Directions

Rub the chicken with ½ teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Heat the olive oil over medium heat in a heavy, large skillet. Once the oil is warm, carefully place the chicken in the pan, and cook it till both sides are brown. Transfer the chicken to a dish, and add the peppers to it. Cook for a few minutes over medium heat, until the peppers have browned. Then add the garlic and cook for another minute. Next put in the tomatoes and herbs. If you find browned bits sticking to the bottom of the pan, remove them with a wooden spoon. Now return the chicken to the pan and allow it to absorb the wonderful flavor of the herbs. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat. Cover it and let it simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes, until the chicken is cooked and tender. Now, transfer it to a serving dish and garnish with parsley leaves.

Steak and Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin steak (1 to 1 ¼” thick)

  • 2 tsp olive oil

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven on broiler setting. Find a way to wedge the oven door slightly open, to prevent the broiler from turning off due to overheating. Lightly coat the steak with oil, salt and pepper. Place the steak on a rack and carefully place the rack in the oven. Ease a piece of foil on the lower rack for it to function as a drip pan. Cook the steak for 5 minutes in this position. Carefully turn it over and cook for another 5 minutes. Now move the rack on which the steak is placed, to the top position in the oven, and cook for another 3 minutes. Turn it over one last time and cook for 3 more minutes. Remove the steak from the oven, and allow it to sit for 3 to 5 minutes before serving. The steak will be medium done, so you can adjust the cooking time according to the way you like your steak. Prepare a salad with lots of lettuce and bell peppers, and season it with olive oil and lime. Serve along with steak.

Grilled Salmon

Ingredients

  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 (6 ounce) salmon fillets

  • 2 tbsp key lime juice

  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • Cooked rice

Directions

Brush the grill grate with oil and warm over medium-high heat. Melt butter in a small saucepan, and add lime juice to it. Rub salt and pepper on both sides of the salmon fillets. Brush one side of the salmon with lime butter and place the salmon onto the grill. Grill it on one side for 2 to 3 minutes, then brush the side facing you and turn it over. Grill the other side for another 2 to 3 minutes. Pour the remaining lime butter over salmon before serving. Serve with rice.
