Add Photos To Your Google Places For Local Mobile Marketing

I’ve put together a video series, “20 Tips To Grow By”, for businesses with a local market to a) help them get found by the people already looking for them, and b) help them do more business with their current customers and visitors.

The information in these videos could be vital to the success of your business. I offer you a Free Marketing Analysis because it is so important and I know I can help.

Ultimately, we will develop a long-term marketing strategy that combines online, offline, and mobile phone marketing into one plan!

The sixth video in the series is: Add Photos. From our Google Places Dashboard we can access the edit link for a business we want to edit or in this case add a photo. So I have chosen a photo for Electronic Drum Lessons so I click on that edit link. Now I scroll down pretty far to where my other photos show up, in the section called photos.

I have 5 of 10 photos uploaded so I can upload another. But first, I want to upload this photo to Photobucket. This will act somewhat like a back link and it has a chance for more exposure since it is in 2 places.

I’ve already signed up for my free account. Next I click “Upload Now” where I’m asked where to upload from (my file is on my computer), and where to upload to, as in what album do you want the photo in. This photo is for my Electronic Drum Lessons place page so I choose that album. Next I click on “Select Photos and Video” which let’s me pick the file from my computer.

The file uploads quickly. A message appears “upload complete”, I then choose “save and continue to my album”. I choose the new photo from my album, then click on “direct link” to the right of the image. This copies the link we need to the clipboard. Now I go back to the window with my place page open, make sure “add a photo from the web” is chosen, right-click in the empty box and click paste. Finally, I click “add photo”. The photo appears in a few seconds.
