A mishap, mistake or forgotten item can ruin a vacation as surely as bad weather or an unpleasant travel companion. While there are some things you just can’t control, maximize your chances of having a good trip with the following travel tips.
Roll your clothes when packing your bags for a trip. Rolling your clothes up tightly actually saves a great deal of space when packing. Just make sure you begin packing, at least, several days before you need to have all your luggage ready. Rushing leads to very inefficient packing.

To make sure you don’t lose belongings you bring on your hotel stay, clearly label everything. While a possession with no label might get tossed in the lost and found or grabbed by another guest, a clear label will let people know who this belongs to and how they can get it back to them. Try labeling possessions with your name, address, and telephone number.
Check your hotel bill to make sure that you are not being overcharged. If you see charges on your bill that you do not recognize, ask the desk clerk about them. Such charges may be erroneous. Some hotels try to add extra charges with no warning, but if you object, they may remove those charges.
