Dennis Wald Promoted to Vice President, Affiliate Marketing for Game Show Network.

Dennis Wald has been elevated to the newly created position of vice president, affiliate marketing, Game Show Network.


Dena Kaplan, senior vice president, marketing, Game Show Network, and Anne Droste, senior vice president, sales and affiliate relations, Game Show Network, made the announcement jointly today. Wald, who will report to Kaplan and Droste, is based at the network’s Culver City headquarters.


As vice president, affiliate marketing, Wald’s responsibilities include developing, managing and implementing Game Show Network’s aggressive affiliate marketing and local ad sales plans and partnerships with cable and satellite distributors. He works closely with the network’s marketing and affiliate sales teams.


“Appointing Dennis to the new position of vice president, affiliate marketing is instrumental to Game Show Network providing creative and effective marketing opportunities for our affiliates,” said Kaplan. “He is extremely deserving of this promotion.”

Wald joined Game Show Network in 1996 as director, affiliate sales, western region. He has been responsible for increasing affiliate sales in the Midwest and Southwest. Wald worked with area MSOs to further the network’s distribution and was focused on identifying and capitalizing on local ad sales opportunities. During his interim with Game Show Network, subscriber numbers have climbed from 10 to more than 40 million.


Prior to Game Show Network, Wald was western region vice president for On-Command Video, where he was responsible for regional sales and operations of Spectravision in the hospitality industry. Additionally, his background includes sales and marketing experience in the computer industry with Hotel Information Systems and Unisys Computer Corp. Wald is a graduate of Arizona State University.
